Robert C. Hill is a British-born Canadian author based in Burlington, Ontario. Before writing the Canada at War series, he spent years coaching and training leaders at some of the world’s largest technology, financial, consulting, and professional-services firms, and built a parallel career as an author and ghostwriter.

His military-political thrillers explore fragile democracies, covert conflict, betrayal, resistance, and the human cost of survival. A Canadian by choice, he writes stories that place Canada—and believable Canadian characters—at the centre of the action.

Off the page, he directs a volunteer band with long military ties, has been known to wear a kilt without irony, knows where the sgian-dubh goes, and spends too much time thinking about doctrine, leadership, logistics, and what happens when institutions fail.
